Young People 11 – 19 years – You’re Welcome

Young People's Information Leaflet

Stanley Medical Group is aiming to be accredited as a “You’re Welcome Practice”

All our young people are entitled to receive appropriate health care wherever they access it. The You’re Welcome quality criteria lay out principles that will help health services to achieve this.

Over the next 6-12 months the practice will be improving services to meet the criteria and welcomes comments from young people on how we can make the practice meet the needs of our young people.

Confidentiality – We Are Here To Listen Not To Tell

We provide a confidential service to all young people including our under 16 year olds. This means that you can tell others about your visit to the practice but we won’t. You can be seen on your own or with a friend for support.

The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information without your permission would be to protect you or someone else from risk or serious harm, even then we will always try to get your consent first.

You can ask for an appointment with a male or female clinician.
